2008-09 — Project: A Yacht Industry Investigation and Report submitted to FBI.
A report was submitted to the FBI uncovering a scam operation in the Thailand marine industry where a company would flood another with 34,000+ emails by hijacking the company's name with dubious scam messages in order to shut down their business.

2008-09 — Project: Inaugural Sail Thailand Rally
On 9 January 09, Bianca Hein and the Tourism Authority of Thailand organized a Rally for 45 Sailors on 23 yachts who came from Darwin, Australia with the Sail Indonesia and Sail Malaysia Rallies. An all island tour to Phuket's four marinas and business networking dinner was staged for the Sail Thailand Rally. The Meet and Greet the Fleet Day provided an opportunity for local marine contractors to have buyers brought to their doorstep in want of refit, repairs and supplies. Business was brisk. The one day event generated $110,000 in marine sales inquiries. The Pensea Mariner's Certificate given with the Friendship Award a scholarship for a new sailor.

2006 — Project: Piracy In modern Southeast Asia, setting the record straight is a tourism and yacht industry report published by Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand magazine and International Crime Commission (ICC) on piracy. This ambitious report covers all aspects of piracy as it relates to yachts. It is deemed the definitive word on the subject.

2004 — Project: Launch of Southeast Asia Yachting Magazine. As managing editor, I was able to double the readership and advertising revenue every issue since its launch.

1981-88 — Other types of motor, sail and launch vessels I have operated include:
• 36' ~ 15 ton commercial swordfishing vessel. Position: 1st Mate / Navigator.
• 53' ~ 34 ton Hatteras motor yacht. Private yacht cruising San Diego Harbor. Position: Captain.
• 56' ~ 28 ton sailing ketch. Sailed north from Sydney Australia via the Great Barrier Reef across the Coral Sea to Papua New Guinea. Position: 2nd Mate.
• 110' ~ 310 ton ocean-going salvage tug. This salvage tug towed a freighter from Rabaul, New Britain to Singapore. Position: Ordinary seaman / bridge watch.
• 34' ~ 15 ton engineless, ketch-rigged sailing catamaran. Day sails and overnight charters in Thailand. Position: Captain.
• 41' ~ 24 ton ketch. A yacht delivery from US Virgin Islands via the Panama Canal to Dana Point, California. Position: 1st Mate / Navigator.
• 65' ~ 51 ton commercial sportfishing vessel. Two sisterships working in San Pedro, California. Position: Captain.
• 65' ~ 44 ton sportfishing vessel. This 40-passenger and 5 crew motor vessel took weekend fishing charters from San Pedro, California to the Channel Islands. Position: Captain.
• 20' ~ Boston Whaler. This dive charter boat took snorkelers and SCUBA divers to Molokini Island. Position: Captain.
• 44' ~ sailing catamaran ~ twin 50hp outboard propulsion. This 26-passenger catamaran took novice snorkelers to Molokini Island, Hawaii. Position: Captain.
• Navigation Editor and Monthly Columnist: Hawaii Boating and Ocean Sports. Wrote Navigator's Notebook, a 13-month coastal navigation "how-to" series in short, locally focused situations. Also had marine articles published in Sailing, Yachting, Cruising World and Cruising Helmsman.

1978-80 — Deckhand on various motor and sail vessels. Graduated from Harbor Occupational Center, a 5-month, full-time preparation course organized and accredited by the Los Angeles Unified School District for a Merchant Mariners License issued by the U.S. Coast Guard of power and sail vessels for commercial and/or passenger carrying use up to 100 tons.

1977 — Graduation from both Dana Hills High School and Irvine College of Business in California.

Executive Editor - Shilpa Publishing Company - Wrote, edited and updated a bimonthly 112-page Guide To South Thailand. Created, wrote, planned layout and hired translators for an annual 214-page color guide book on the entire kingdom. Destination Thailand was translated from English into German, French, Italian and Japanese.

NTC HeliTours - Founder and Project Manager -
I was the first foreigner to receive a helicopter and fixed wing business license deemed for tourism use. I set up the company for ISO 9002, Board of Investment privileges and a future stock exchange listing. Contract administration included:

Privatization Plan for the Open Skies Policy in Thailand -
Wrote a 100-page Helicopter Air Tour Proposal requesting a permit to operate an aviation business. This involved bureaucratic negotiations to acquire the unwritten guidelines.

Flight Operations and Maintenance Manual of Aircraft -
Wrote a Flight Operations Manual to set performance standards for safety, passenger comfort and reliable schedules.

Helipad Planning -
Negotiated the landing rights for eight helipads with the Airport Authority of Thailand for landing rights, charges, permits.

Thailand Board of Investment Application -
The 200-page proposal I wrote obtained maximum tax benefits and privileges as an aviation service and tourism classification: 8-years tax-free status of 37%; afterwards, a 5-year tax reduction at 18.5%; and a 25% reduction in utilities for 8-years.

Total Quality Management (TQM) ISO 9002 -
Wrote a TQM system which conformed to the ISO 9002 International Standards. The result of being the first aviation and tourism entity in Thailand to recognize ISO 9002.
